We are thrilled to announce the inaugural ISO Research Grant!

Longstanding R&I Network members will recall that the ISO Research Grant was scheduled to commence in 2020, but had to be postponed due to the pandemic. We are glad to officially announce the Grant will go ahead in 2021!

The ISO Research Grant will be awarded annually to one postgraduate student (Masters, PhD or post-doc) to conduct a research study related to a theme proposed by ISO. The grant amount is 25,000 CHF. A different theme will be proposed each year, but the broad focus is on evaluating the impacts of international standards.

In 2021, the theme is “International Standards and the Sustainable Development Goals”. With 10 years left to go for the United Nations to achieve its 17 SDGs, ISO would like to further investigate how the use of international standards can contribute to the achievement of these goals.

We would like to ISO Research Grant to be open to as many interested researchers as possible - so please share this information with your networks. We look forward to seeing your submissions!
